“Kodali kolu kulakke mula” says a Kannada proverb. The meaning is that the wood in the axe is the ultimate destroyer of the forest. The handle of the axe made from some wood of a tree is the grip for the iron talon to cut other trees in the forest. This proverb reflects on the mind-set of those who in the name of secularism try to attack a religion. Secularism is not going against a religion but to have a view which acknowledges other religions. There is no secularism that is practiced in my country it is only pseudo secularism.
The secular thought in my country is a bug which has bit only those Intellectuals who belong to Hindu community. They rise their voice against the right and correct happening in their own community. The recent beef ban has rattled them to such an extent that they organise beef festivals and fests to protest against the government decision. I do not understand how killing of cow and eating it be called festival or fest. Moreover I felt it was disgusting to have the cow slaughtered in the road in full public view.
These so called Intellectual secular Hindus who ape western culture are taunt by inferiority complex to become the bitter enemies of Hindu ethos. With their presence we do not need anyone from outside our land to come and be a threat to the harmony of our land. These secular Hindus can do great damage by systematically displaying their disagreement against what is good for Hindu culture. Our Constitution also do not support the good cause as it is also coated with pseudo secular paint.
Though my country has the Hindu majority, Hindus have never raised voice when the pseudo secular Hindus protest against any decisions taken by the government. Hindus have been one of the worst persecuted people in the world. There is no society in the entire world which is tolerant as Hindus. It is seen in the history of this land that it has welcomed everyone with open arms even after it has experienced backstabbing again and again. But the irony now is that Hindus are the enemies of Hindus.
Hindus have never resist the onslaught of money flowing to madrasas and missionaries to propagate fanaticism. Hindus do not get missiles, chemical weapons or deadly explosives from other. countries. They don’t train their young to destroy other countries using terrorism. Yet we have our own people who do not have guts to talk against those madrasas and missionaries who try to convert or encourage love jihad but want to show their uneasiness against the right decisions which are in favour of the society at large.
Amazingly the money which fall into the temple hundies are used to sponsor the minority communities pilgrimage and is used for giving special religion based concessions to the Muslims and Christians. Yet the majority of the Hindus are silent considering the brotherhood that prevails in the country.
Why is it that when the people from the other community which consume beef seem to be not affected, the pseudo secularism are feeling the itch?
It must be purely a political ploy, is what I feel. Those against the cow slaughter ban are the Congress & the Communist who are like Shakuni in Mahabharata. There is a hidden agenda behind their stands…..what say???
