Shabarimala - Nilackal Movement :

A historic fight to save our land from christianv missionaries.

Shabarimala has been centre of Hindus spiritual and traditional belief and lacs and lacs of people visit this holy shrine every year. This has always been an eye sore for the converted christian community.

From very early time christian missionaries  funded by Vatican and it's sister organisations to spread the Christian religion in India has found Kerala as their home ground for experimentation.  Today every nook and corner you shall find gigantic christian churches in kerala.  If not the church you surely will find Crosses at every one km.  Many times you fail to believe it's India the country with Hindu Majority.

Much before independence the Dutch and Portuguese followed by Britishers have tried all their tricks to mis guide Hindus to believe that so called Christianity existed much before Hindus and Hindu scriptures were full of superstitious and negative things.  Hindus who had already disconnected itself from gurukul form of education were already illiterate and ignorant about their own religion and no wonder they were fooled to convert to Christianity.

In early 50's  Christian missionaries had attempted to destroy the shabarimala temple and had destructed the original vigraha of Lord Ayappa.  Today when anti Hindus or so called liberals bark supporting babri masjid no one had guts to question the govt of kerala which has very secretly kept the investigation files under carpet. Had it been any other religious place of worship they would have created havoc.

Coming to the subject in early 80's christian missionaries and their community came up with a request to build a temple at Nilackal which happens to be one of the sacred hills among 18 hills including shabarimala.  Christians missionaries came with the argument that a cross was found in this part of Nilackal which they believed belonged to St.  Thomas who is believed to be a disciple of Jesus.  This argument was strongly opposed as baseless and imaginary as such a person had never come to kerala a fact which even christian historians and Vatican has accepted.

The then govt of Congress (who else) agreed to their demand for providing govt permission for construction of temple.  MR Karunakaran then CM who is known to be pro church for his own interest had supported this claim.  However Hindu saints from various part of state came together and protested this tooth and nail.  They conducted state wide protest under the guidance of Parampujya Swami Sathyananda Saraswsti. The movement was supported by other saints and Hindu leaders including Kummanam Rajashekharan the current Bjp president in kerala.

With strong protest and valid argument and after months of confrontation govt agreed to move the proposal out of the 18 sacred hills.

Accordingly one such attempt of creating false history to expand their network of churches was tarnished.  The Hindus of kerala should be indebted to Swami Sathyananda Saraswsti ji and each and every person who had fought to save our heritage from the evil Christian community.

Today In Munnar we are witnessing things similar to it.  We need to be stronger and United or else every part of Munnar will be Crucified by xtians.
