NAME: Mallikarjuna Swamy
(Arjuna is another name of Mahadev ji which means clear/silver. Mallika is another name for Maa Parvati which means Jasmine. So Mallikarjuna means Shiv-Shakti. And as you guessed it's not only a Jyotir Linga abode, but also a Shakti Peeth. Maa Adi Shakti too is worshiped here parallely. )
LOCATION: Srisailam, Andhra Pradesh. (On the banks of River Krishna)
ORIGINALLY BUILT BY: Abode was used by Bhagwan Shiv & Maiya Parvati themselves according to legends.
BRIEF HISTORY: Was worshiped by many epic personalities including Prabhu Shri Ram, Hiranya Kashyapa, Narada Muni, Pandavs, etc. Shrines were built over centuries by different dynasties including Vijayanagar empire and Chhatrapati Shivaji.
